Proposed vs Committed

Watch our video about Proposed vs Committed in Microsoft Project:

When selecting a resource to your project then you need to specify the Booking Type of this resource and you have two options: Proposed and Committed.
  1. If you want to build your project schedule but you don’t want to have users that see tasks, mark the resource Proposed. In this case none of the tasks will be visible to users.
  2. If you mark it as Committed, tasks will be immediately available to the users when you publish. Users will be able to see their projects, their new tasks, to report time.
  3. When a resource is not able to see the project, check their Booking Type. The reason could be  because they are proposed versus committed.
Hope this helps. Please contact us with questions.

  1. Since Microsoft is a giant with massive operations and also seems expensive only to business users, it might have a greater hold time when users may call in for support. Most of the time such support can only be afforded by businesses.reset windows 10 password
